As you may or may not know I have a new calling in my ward as the Relief Society 2nd Counselor. I absolutely love it! I'm working with some phenomenal girls and I'm learning so much! I love the feeling we have in Relief Society and I love my ward.
I'm going to give you the run down of my life each week so you can get a brief taste of how busy I really am. I get up at 6:00 on Monday Wednesday and Friday for my Art class at 7:45. I pack a lunch, shower, and then drive up to my class. After art I have an hour break before my Literacy 2 class then at 11:30 when that class is over I head straight to work, where I keep pretty busy there until 4:00 and then head off for my Spanish class. Spanish goes until 5:30 then I come home and try to make a healthy dinner before FHE on Mondays and my RS meetings on Wednesday. Then I have about 2 hours to do my homework (if I want a full 8 hours of sleep, which doesn't ever happen) and that's without socializing with my roommates! I usually end up in bed at about 12:00. Tuesday and Thursday I get a couple of hours extra sleep and am in math class at 9:30 for about an hour and a half. After which I head straight to geography for another hour and a half. After Geography I go to work until devotional at 2 on Tuesdays and then I'm off for Spanish again at 4:00. After Spanish I have Math study groups for about an hour or an hour and a half and I get home around 6:30 or 7. Then I make dinner and try to finish my homework! Saturdays I try to catch up on sleep and never really feel like doing anything! Sundays are my favorite because I get to focus on what REALLY matters! I LOVE all my classed, although I'm frustrated by Math and Spanish, I just need to find time to focus more attention on those subjects. Wait...I need to MAKE time for them! I once heard you will never be able to find time for anything, that's why you just need to grin and make it!
My Grandma and Grandpa Campbell came up for the Rexburg Temple open house last Wednesday and we had a blast. I love them so much! We hung out with some of their friends for most of the day, which was fun to hear them reminisce about their lives together and to realize one day I'll be doing the same thing! YIKES! After spending time with them we took my sweet roommate Lindsy out for dinner. It was fun! We were supposed to have the temple dedication on Sunday (Feb 3rd) but it was postponed a week for the prophet's funeral.

I had a pretty neat experience when we found out about our beloved prophet's passing. I was thinking about how quickly the news spread, and about the millions and millions of members and even friends of other faiths' grieving for such a loss when I felt the spirit whisper a truth to me! The Lord knows what He is doing, which I never doubted, but He also knows of the pains of His people and He is here to comfort each individual in the most specific way needed. It's like after a loss of a family member and you look to find a counselor to help deal with your grief! We have the ultimate counselor and I'm grateful for His presence in my life. I'm also grateful for the blessing President Hinckley was to our church! He did so many great things in his life, and the best way to prove our love for him is to live his teachings as best as we can!
As most of you know, as well, my Daddy is leaving again. When he was first put on "alert" and we found out as a family I bawled! Which isn't usually like me! I just imagined what my home would be like without my Dad there and it broke my heart! I love and admire him with all of my heart and it's hard to know a piece of me will be missing for a year! It's also hard for me to be here at school. I wish I could be at home to take care of my sweet Mommy and my amazing brothers and sister. It feels harder for me this time than last, probably because I'm older and I understand more, and also because we've done it before and know what to expect. But I'll tell you this, I'm grateful for the opportunity it's given me to rely on my Savior. Being here, dealing with the news was hard at first, because I felt like no one really cared, which probably wasn't true at all! But I had to turn to the Lord for comfort and understanding! I poured out my heart to Him and I know He listened. Now is the right time for my Dad to go, and I really do appreciate what he is doing for the people in the Middle East. With all of my heart I know he is preparing the world to receive the gospel, in his own army man way!
This is a picture from the summer, but it's the only one I have of my parents on my computer! That's all I've got now, I'll try and keep this more up to date in the future!
