I'm Back!

Blogging has been on my to-do list for a long time now. It's been at the bottom of that list, but at least it made it on the list, I should get credit for that right!? Well, three months from my last post I'm not going to do what we've been up to any justice. I'm halfway through my first year of teaching and I'm feeling it. I truly love my career. My students are absolutely amazing, I love the joys and the challenges they bring. I have noticed a difference in my energy levels and my expectations. I don't know why, but sometimes I cannot understand why they don't know the answers or why they can't follow directions! :) My mom mentioned to me once, "Don't you remember what it was like to be a kid?" She's so right! I know I need to relax and continue to enjoy teaching, so I'm trying to chill out and have fun! Everyone will be happy to know that I am even more in love with my wonderful husband than before. He makes me so happy and works so hard to take care of our family. He just began his second semester of school and is trying to tackle physics. He's made some good friends which we are both grateful for. We are enjoying serving in our ward as gospel doctrine teachers for the 12 year old age group. We are also serving in the Oquirrh Mountain temple on Saturday evenings. Steven leads the 6:30 Spanish session and I'm the follower on the 7:15 session. It's been a unique experience and one we will treasure forever. Last weekend we went to St. George with Megan and Cooper and had a great time. We've recently gotten into the television show Heroes and finished the 3rd season while we were away. At school we had a spelling bee for the lower grades and the upper grades. One of my students got 4th place. Our grade-level is learning about immigrants and a student in the other class raised his hand and said "We are all immigrants, we come from lots of different schools." Totally didn't notice the variety of colors we have at our school, just the fact that everyone had the common denominator of being at a new school. I thought it was pretty funny. I'm done blabbing for now, and I'll try to bump blogging up on my to-do list so you'll hear from me sooner rather than later.
